Living Well Sessions (LWS) by The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Hospital

Practical help and support groups

The LWS supports anybody affected by cancer at any point from time of diagnosis onwards. The face-to-face sessions are based in the community welcome people living with a cancer diagnosis, anybody supporting them as well as professionals supporting people affected by cancer. The sessions are free to attend, there is a free lunch provided on the day and all of the information spoken about is shared following the session. The topics discussed are: fatigue, physical activity, emotional wellbeing and nutrition. We discuss how to safely self-manage these four topics or if you are supporting someone living with a cancer diagnosis, how you can support them treatment and beyond. The session provides: • Self-help ideas and tips • Sharing and listening to experiences • Signposting to local support • Information and support about cancer and its side effects
